(Kuala Lumpur=Koreanpress) Liew Lai Keen = Vivatel Kuala Lumpur – KL’s latest modern city hotel celebrated its official launch this month. The 302-room boutique business hotel, brought together 600 guests for the official opening.
The launch ceremony kicked-off with the traditional cutting of the ribbon, a plaque signing ceremony against a backdrop of dancing, acrobatic lions. Afterwards, guests were treated to a dinner at the hotel’s Grand Ballroom while Malaysia’s legendary artist and jazz queen, Sheila Majid entertained guests with some of her greatestunforgettable hits.
Bernard Bong, Managing Director of Kha Seng Groupsaid, “We are so pleased to have taken on such an iconic project and inject it with novel features. Vivatel Kuala Lumpur marks the companies’ first entry into the hospitality industry. Today, we are delighted to have all of you here to witness the grand opening ceremony of Vivatel Kuala Lumpur.”
Aaron Soo, Chief Executive Officer of Kha Seng Group added, “The opening of Vivatel Kuala Lumpur today is timely as the country celebrates Visit Malaysia Year 2014. I hope that Vivatel Kuala Lumpur will continue to succeed and be a contributor to the development of Malaysia’s tourism industry.”
Vivatel Kuala Lumpur, which opened for business on December 12, 2012 is the first hotel in Malaysia to offer uniquely-themed rooms inspired by nature which are designed to reflect the natural elements of Water, Fire, Wood, Earth and Metal.
It is also the first to feature Express Check-In kiosks that save time for regular guests. Its exclusive VIP membership programme also offers special privileges and take in the fully-equipped facilities of a spa, a fitness centre, swimming pools, 24-hour room service, a business centre, a 1000-seater Grand Ballroom and multi-sized event rooms.
Ranging from RM380 to RM1, 600 per room per night, Vivatel Kuala Lumpur offers an array of room categories including the Standard, Deluxe and Supreme Deluxe Rooms. Suites come as Junior, Executive, Grand and Duplex Suites. Complimentary high speed internet access is available in every room and public areas.
There are three restaurants and cafes going under the names of Retro Café, Retro Lounge and Club 7. Retro Café, located at Level LG offers sumptuous and deli-fresh international cuisine and Asian favorites. For guests who look for chic and elegant surroundings and fabulous light dishes, Retro Lounge onLevel LG is definitely the place to be. Guests can also chill out and have fun with the private karaoke, gaming and cigar rooms at Club 7.
