South Korean Song Young-han held his nerve to edge world number one Jordan Spieth by a shot to win the Singapore Open in a weather-delayed Monday finish.
Song returned to the Sentosa Golf Club at 7:30 am (2330 GMT) to par the last three holes of his final round for a one-under 70 and 12-under total of 272.
That was one better than double major winner Spieth, who also returned early to sink a five-foot birdie putt on the 18th, his only shot of the day, to complete a five-under 66 and finish runner-up to the world number 204.
It was a first tournament win for Song after a number of second-place finishes on the Japan, Korean and OneAsia Tours. |
